First Day Tour – Veg Garden and Orchard

This covers the long part of the L shaped plot between the road and the house.

Coming past the car park, there’s a polytunnel, and mostly disused greenhouse. The polytunnel is marvellous. The greenhouse needs re-glazing, a new door and probably other repairs, but with the polytunnel available it’s probably not urgent

Then there’s a long stretch, about half has been recently used, a quarter has been fallow for a few years, covered originally to prevent weeds, and the final quarter is fruit bushes.

Finally there’s the orchard. But unfortunately it’s a bit uneven underfoot and overgrown, so that with my dodgy ankle I wasn’t able to get in and take pictures on the 2nd. They will have to follow.
