Christine has been working hard, finishing off the upstairs painting ready for carpets fitting on the 11th October. Shame about the awful photography.
Also an awful photograph, the old pine chest has had a facelift

More furniture is now lined up for the Christine treatment – old drawers, a dvd cabinet for the phone stand, and the big table. The sanders, people and machines, are hard at work.
Outside. Remember the greenhouse? Full of straw and weeds. It’s had a clear out, been floored with some of the groundcover from the veg garden, and filled with bulbs in pots that still can’t be planted outside as the ground is too hard. I did try, but planting bulbs with a pick axe is hard work…
In other outside news, I got attacked by miniature hedgehogs (or burdock seeds if you prefer), and picked the first pumpkins and squashes. And the swan family were in the cut opposite our gate. In the background is the dyke clearing machine, getting ready to wake Christine up early 🙂
