2019 – July

The conservatory was finally completed this month. It’s a wonderful addition, and well worth the disruption caused by the building works. The cats certainly love it, they moved straight in.

Inside: Kitchen window replaced with door and smaller window. New units installed. Some worktop at last! IKEA sourced ‘sofas’ in the conservatory for now until we find something better. And the steampunk heating solution.

Flowers: The annual bed and sweet peas are looking bright and cheerful, and the jasmine has survived its haircut and flowered for us.

Veg garden: The picking has started. Still lots to come.

And finally, the end of the month saw our visitor from Oz arrive. Hurrah! so we took a break from work and played tourist for a while: Beach, Batemans brewery, Battle of Britain Memorial flight, a game of boules in the garden and so on. I did get a bit of work out of Alex and Dad though – trimming the willow on the lane, and putting in posts for my new garden bed.
