2019 – November

Work on the bathroom continues…

There’s a bit of chaos inside, as all of the fixtures and fittings are delivered

And outside, we go up in the world, so that Andy can touch up the paint before the scaffolding goes down. While there we got a couple of higher than usual views of the garden

Out and about. We had a return trip to Yorkshire, and stopped in someone else’s castle for a change. Quite a bit of flooding that week, including the service station we stopped at. The cat sitter has been spoiling Badger – giving him a blanket to sit on, and a new hat!

The water was quite high in the drainage channels when we returned. It’s the highest I’ve seen it in the dyke around the garden.

Seal Trip! As cute as last year.(The seals, obviously…)

Wet weather and the builders vehicles had all made a bit of a mess of the access, but with help from Joe and Sammy, and three wagon loads of gravel, it’s much improved.

Outside, final deliveries of apples to the Cyder makers ( http://www.skidbrookecyder.com), a tidy up around the greenhouse (excess builders sand and broken bricks) and tender fuchsias lifted into the polytunnel for the winter.

Compulsory cat pictures – getting cosy for winter

And finally, the damson gin was decanted…and tested.
